In this role, you'll:
Develop the electrical safety work and follow up on electrical safety measures based on the results of risk assessments and safety inspection rounds as well as 
providing support on electrical test issues and lead testing investigations during breakdowns and PD measuers. 
You will also be in charge of the development and implementation of new working routines, working closely with the Manager for Testing and the Electrical proprietor at the site. 

Requirements;
* Several years of professional experience in a senior position within a complex technical environment, ideally in the cable or accessories market.
* Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
* Proven experience in ISO 17025.
* Competency in SAP ERP system (MM, PP, WM, and SD).

Design and Develop for the future – you will be our key to success 

As a Design Engineer you will take part in the development and adaptation of our product portfolio. Your responsibility will be the design of Cable Accessories including 3D modelling, 2D drawings for our HVAC and HVDC Accessories, and BOM creation in our PLM system. Practical work in our test lab will be needed as well as product installations for design proofing. Writing reports and do various presentations will also be a part of your daily work. 
You will be joining other Design Engineers and Document Specialists in the Engineering team located in Alingsås. The team works with Cable Accessories for MV (Medium Voltage) and HV (High Voltage), AC (Alternating Current) and DC (Direct Current). You will also work closely to our Accessories R&D department with other Design Engineers, Material Engineers, Specialists, Project Managers and Lab/Test Engineers. 

A communicative Team Player
As a person, you are self-driven with a positive and future-oriented attitude. Inquisitive, open-minded and communicative team player with excellent ability to collaborate are words that can describe you. You will be located in Alingsås and report to the manager for Applied Engineering. Because of the global set-up you will be travelling to other sites occasionally, estimated 10-20 days per year, domestic and international.

We are looking for an positive and enthusiastic high voltage Engineer who can contribute in driving our key development projects going forward!

The position as a High Voltage (HV) Specialist in R&D is a broad role since the development projects handle many aspects (such as research, design, material, environmental, installation) of our products. Since NKT has the ambition to renew and trim existing product portfolios, we are now looking to strengthen the team in R&D and development of cable accessories.

Experience within material properties and characterization
As part of the R&D team You will participate in various cable accessories related R&D projects and assignments that differs in scope and length. 
The team consists of six persons and collaborates with other R&D-teams within NKT. A great deal of interactions with other sites is a normal day to day way of work. 

Other parts of the role:
•    Taking a leading role with regards to high voltage related questions
•    To design and further develop our HV lab
•    To work with HV tests of our accessories
•    To be advising and give support to colleagues and internal customers. 
•    To act as a generator for ideas in both ongoing projects and in strategic discussions. 

Communicative and with a positive mindset
